Srinagar: <\/strong>Many places in Kashmir Valley including the tourist resorts of Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg, received fresh snowfall and rains.<\/p>\n According to the Meteorological Department Centre, the night temperature improved in Kashmir Valley and Ladakh in view of the snowfall and rains.<\/p>\n Srinagar recorded a minimum of 0.3 degrees Celsius against the average -2.1 degrees Celsius this season.<\/p>\n Srinagar has received 1.2 mm of rainfall since Saturday night.<\/p>\n They said the famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir received 4.2 cms of fresh snowfall much to the delight of the tourists.<\/p>\n Affarwat and Kongdoori in the valley of meadow also received about six inches of snowfall.<\/p>\n The minimum temperature settled in Gulmarg as minus 6.2 degrees Celsius against minus 6.0 recorded the previous night.<\/p>\n Reports of snowfall were also received from south Kashmir’s Shopian as it recorded 1.5 cms snow last night while Gurez in Bandipora recorded 3-4 cms.<\/p>\n Gund-Kangan and Sonmarg in central Kashmir also received fresh snowfall of 3 cms.<\/p>\n Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway recorded minus 1.0 degrees, Celsus, against minus 4.0 a day ago.<\/p>\n The famous tourist resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir received 7 cms of snow. The minimum temperature was recorded as minus 1.7 degrees Celsius against the minus 6.1 recorded the last night.<\/p>\n Kokernag also in south Kashmir recorded a minimum of minus 1.9 degrees Celsius against the minus 3.5 degrees Celsius the previous night.<\/p>\n The frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara was recorded 1.6 degrees Celsius against the minus 1.8 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n Kupwara also received a rainfall of 1.3mm on Saturday night.<\/p>\n Reports of fresh snowfall on the upper reaches of Ladakh including Zojila pass, Captain more, and Drass areas were also received.<\/p>\n About 3-4 inches of snow accumulated in these places, according to sources.<\/p>\n The official said, “Leh in Ladakh recorded a minimum of 9.2 degrees Celsius and at automatic stations of Kargil minus 102 while at Drass it was recorded as minus 9.2 degrees Celsius.”<\/p>\n
