S Jaishankar made an\u00a0announcement about the briefing earlier. He said PM Modi has asked him to brief political leaders about the situation in Afghanistan.<\/h2>\n

New Delhi:<\/strong> Floor Leaders of all political parties in Parliament would be briefed by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar about the situation in Afghanistan on August 26, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Monday.<\/p>\n

The briefing would be done at the Parliament House Annexe.<\/p>\n

The Minister added that invites to all political parties will be sent through email.<\/p>\n

The announcement about the briefing was earlier made by Jaishankar. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked him to brief political leaders about the situation.<\/p>\n

India has evacuated over 400 of its nationals from Afghanistan so far following the Taliban’s takeover of the country on August 15. Some members of the Afghan Hindu and Sikh community have also been evacuated and more are being brought back.<\/p>\n
