The\u00a0Maharashtra Minister of State for Co-operation and Social Justice Vishwajeet Kadam said that Rajeev Satav was hospitalized on April 23 and mentioned that until April 25, he was responding well to the treatment and was stable. After April 25, he developed some complications and was admitted to the ICU and was put on ventilator support three days later.<\/p>\n
A team of doctors is monitoring his situation and the good news is Rajeev is now responding to the treatment.\u00a0 \u00a0 According to Social Justice Vishwajeet Kadam, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray have been asking about Mr. Satav’s health.<\/p>\n
Dr. S S Gill, medical director of Jehangir Hospital, said that Satav is now “hemodynamically stable” (term used to describe stable blood flow and heart condition).<\/p>\n
“Doctors from the Maharashtra<\/a> COVID-19 task force are also being consulted,” he said.<\/p>\n However as his respiratory rate had increased, he was shifted to the ICU and put on ventilator support.<\/p>\n On April 22, Rajeev Satav had tweeted that after experiencing mild symptoms, he had tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n “After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve tested positive for COVID. All those who have been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols,” his tweet said.<\/p>\n The Rajya Sabha member, is a close associate of Rahul Gandhi, is a former Lok Sabha member from the Hingoli constituency in Maharashtra.<\/p>\n Many colleagues and\u00a0friends wish him a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n Very troubling to hear that the young Cong leader from Maharashtra @SATAVRAJEEV<\/a> is on ventilator.
