After Rahul Gandhi’s appeal to keep aside politics and help, Congress volunteers set up oxygen, beds, plasma, helplines across India with contact numbers in their respective areas. Rahul Gandhi Congress leader told his party workers amid the COVID-19 crisis, “Keep all political work aside, help people.”\u00a0 He also said, “This is the dharma of the Congress family, adding that the country now needs responsible people.\u00a0 He said, “It is time to talk about the welfare of the people because the ‘system’ has failed.”<\/h1>\n

Heartbreaking images of sick dying patients, the deceased and the grieving will plague memories forever.\u00a0 The globe has risen up in solidarity with India.\u00a0 While India has witnessed great kindness and help, from overseas and among country citizens, there has been the corrupt wicked who have taken advantage of the crisis in the country.<\/p>\n

A man in Agra was seen crying helplessly when the oxygen cylinder he procured for his dying mother was taken away, perhaps to give to a VIP?\u00a0 People were buying oxygen cylinders in the black market for Rs. 70 thousand, remdesivir went up to Rs. 25,000 for a vial.\u00a0 The Indian hospital infrastructures collapsed under the pressure load of masses entering hospitals, and many being turned away for lack of beds.<\/p>\n

Maria van Kerkhove, WHO technical lead on COVID-19, told a news conference. \u201cThe exponential growth that we have seen in case numbers is really, truly astonishing, we have seen similar trajectories of increases in transmission in a number of countries, it has not been at the same scale and it has not had the same level of impact of burden on the healthcare system that we have seen in India.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Rahul\u2019s appeal, Cong sets up control rooms for Covid aid Congress party volunteers rose up to help thousands during this crisis.<\/p>\n

While the volunteers have shared perhaps hundreds of posters sharing names and links to contact during the crisis for procurement of oxygen, plasma, medicines, hospital beds, will share just a few and it is advisable to contact them directly for the information on the respective social media platforms where all the links and numbers are shared.<\/p>\n
