Today, Vibhakar Shastri, the grandson of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, announced his resignation from the Congress party. In a post shared on X platform, Mr. Shastri addressed Congress President Shri Kharge, stating, “Hon’ble Congress President Shri Kharge ji! Respected Sir, I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of Indian National Congress, Regards, Vibhakar Shastri.”<\/p>\n

Mr. Shastri, who is the son of Hari Krishna Shastri, has previously contested Lok Sabha elections without success.<\/p>\n

This move adds to a series of departures from the Congress party over the past few years.
