US President Joe Biden\u2019s two-year-old German Shepherd bit another US Secret Service agent at the White House, marking the 11th biting incident involving the dog either at the White House or the Biden family home, according to a report.<\/p>\n

As per Anthony Guglielmi, the chief of communications for the United States Secret Service (USSS), the incident took palce around 8 pm on Monday when a Secret Service Uniformed Division police officer came into contact with Commander and was subsequently bitten. Fortunately, the injured officer received prompt medical attention on the complex and is reported to be doing okay. Guglielmi also mentioned that the officer had spoken with Secret Service Uniformed Division Chief Alfonso M Dyson Senior on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Notably, Commander has been involved in numerous biting incidents, both at the White House and in Delaware. One such incident occurred in November 2022 when an officer was hospitalized due to bites on their arms and thighs, according to CNN reporting and US Secret Service email correspondence.<\/p>\n

Back in July, White House officials had announced that the Bidens were implementing new training and leashing protocols to address Commander\u2019s behavior following his previous attacks. Elizabeth Alexander, the communications director for the First Lady, stated that \u201cThe First Family continues to work on ways to help Commander handle the often unpredictable nature of the White House grounds\u201d and expressed gratitude to the Secret Service and Executive Residence staff for their efforts in ensuring the safety of the President, First Lady, and the nation.<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that Biden\u2019s other dog, Major, had also been involved in biting incidents at the White House and had subsequently moved out of the White House in 2021 before Commander\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n

While the July email correspondence revealed 10 incidents involving Commander, a separate incident in October saw First Lady Jill Biden struggling to regain control of the dog as it charged a member of the Secret Service staff.<\/p>\n

These repeated incidents involving Commander have drawn attention and raised concerns about the dog\u2019s behavior and the safety of those working at the White House.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
