The next manoeuvre is scheduled for September 10, around 02:30 Hrs. After the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 on Moon, ISRO started its new space odyssey on September 2. ISRO launched its maiden solar mission \u2018Aditya-L1\u2019 to study Sun from point L1. On September 03, the first Earth-bound manoeuvre was performed successfully by ISRO\u2019s Aditay-L1.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Taking to X, ISRO shared that the satellite is healthy and operating nominally. Satellite will travel on Earth-bound orbits for 16 days, during which it will undergo five manoeuvres. Adiya-L1 will undergo a trans-Lagrangian1 insertion manoeuvre that will take 110 days. The satellite will travel approximately 15 million kilometres to reach the L1 point. ISRO launched India\u2019s first solar mission \u2018Aditya-L1\u2019 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota on Sept 02.<\/p>\n

Aditya L1 is first space based Indian mission to study the Sun.This will provide a greater advantage of observing the solar activities and its effect on space weather in real time. The spacecraft carries seven payloads to observe the photosphere, chromosphere and the outermost layers of the Sun (the corona) using electromagnetic and particle and magnetic field detectors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
