During a recent speech in Maharashtra’s Bhandara district, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recounted an incident where a politician advised him to join the Congress party. However, Gadkari firmly responded that he would rather meet his demise by jumping into a well than becoming a part of the Congress.<\/p>\n
Gadkari, while reflecting on his early days of working for the BJP and discussing the party’s journey, shared this incident with the audience. He mentioned that the late Congress leader Shrikant Jichkar had praised him as a dedicated party worker and leader, suggesting that he would have a promising future if he joined the Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n In response to this proposition, Gadkari emphatically stated his unwavering faith in the BJP and its ideology. He expressed his determination to continue working for the BJP, asserting that he would choose to leap into a well rather than aligning with the Congress.<\/p>\n Additionally, the senior BJP leader asserted that over the past nine years, his party had accomplished twice as much as the Congress had managed in its 60-year rule. Gadkari claimed that the BJP government had undertaken substantial work for the country, surpassing the achievements of the Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n Furthermore, Gadkari criticized the Congress, highlighting their use of slogans to combat poverty during their rule while simultaneously establishing educational institutions for personal gains. He urged people to draw lessons from the past in order to shape a better future.<\/span>
