Police sources have reported that a MIG-21 aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan on Monday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.<\/p>\n
The aircraft had taken off from Suratgarh on a routine mission.<\/p>\n
The IAF posted on Twitter, stating that “a MiG-21 aircraft of the IAF crashed near Suratgarh during a routine training sortie today morning. The pilot ejected safely, sustaining minor injuries. An inquiry has been constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident.”<\/p>\n
While the IAF did not provide an official statement on the number of casualties, the local authorities claimed that at least two villagers were killed when the plane crashed in the Dabli area in the morning.<\/p>\n
Superintendent of Police (SP) Sudhir Chaudhary stated that a rescue operation is currently underway.<\/p>\n
