Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a> terminated his contract with Manchester United with immediate effect on Tuesday 22 November. The Premier League club released a statement stating that both parties had come to an agreement and the club wished Ronaldo success in his future endeavors.<\/div>\n

The Portugal captain, who is currently in Qatar, preparing for their World Cup opener, took to Twitter to give his own statement, stating that his love for Manchester United and the fans had not changed. Ronaldo is one of the club’s most fruitful goalscorers, Ronaldo’s second tenure at the club was cut short by several controversies in the 2022\/23 season, where he clashed with the manager, which ended his connection with the club.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Following conversations with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early,” Ronaldo said in his own statement.\u00a0 “I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge. I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future,” Ronaldo said.<\/div>\n

Manchester United had earlier set an inquiry into Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morga, which startled the footballing world. Ronaldo had made jabs about the club owners, players as well as former stars, something that did not sit well with a section of the footballing world.<\/p>\n

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. Ronaldo rejoined United from Juventus in 2021; he had earlier played for the club between the years 2003-2009.<\/p>\n
