England defeats India by 10 wickets to seal their spot in the final of 2022 men\u2019s T20 World Cup final where England cruised comfortably to win.<\/h2>\n

England thrashed India by 10 wickets to seal their spot in the final of 2022 men\u2019s T20 World Cup<\/a> final. Despite setting up a defendable total, the England opening batters quickly set the match in breathtaking action with the Indian bowlers winning the match by 10 wickets.<\/p>\n

India scored 168\/6 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first by England. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya played great knocks to take India to a decent total after yet another shaky start from the openers. KL Rahul was dismissed early again for 5 off 5 balls. Rohit Sharma also looked rusty with the bat as he was removed for 27 off 28 balls. While Kohli scored 50 off 40 balls, Pandya smashed 63 off 33 balls.<\/p>\n

The second innings saw England chase down the target in style as they scored 170\/0 in 16 overs. Hales and Buttler were the stars of the show for England as they scored 86 and 80 runs, respectively. None of the Indian bowlers were able to pick a wicket in the game enabling England to sail comfortably to the target. Hales was named the player of the match for his outstanding batting in the powerplay.<\/p>\n

The opening pair of Buttler of Hales put up an excellent unbeaten stand of 170 to see England through to the final of the T20 World Cup to face Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the fifties from Virat Kohli<\/a> and Hardik Pandya enabled India to recover from a shaky start and post 168\/5. Put in to bat, India had a slow start and lost opener KL Rahul (5) early but Kohli held the innings together to slam his fourth fifty of the tournament. But it was Pandya\u2019s powerful knock that propelled India\u2019s total.<\/p>\n

Earlier, English cricketer and right-handed opening batter Alex Hales was dropped from the 2019 World Cup squad and in the wilderness for over three years. Today, he rose again and fired England into the #T20 World Cup final.\u00a0 It is a redemption arc for Alex Hales! A fantastic comeback.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Captain Rohit Sharma says India’s bowlers could have done more to prevent Hales and Buttler’s onslaught.<\/div>\n
