Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India’s endeavor will be that India’s G-20<\/a> mantra is One Earth, One Family, One Future. He gave examples of One Sun, One World, One Grid which has been India\u2019s clarion call for a revolution in the world of renewable energy, and the global health campaign of One Earth, One Health.<\/p>\n “The G-20 mantra is – One Earth, One Family, One Future… There should not be any ‘first world’ or ‘third world’, but only ‘one world’… It is these thoughts and values \u200b\u200bof India that pave the way for the welfare of the world,” the Prime Minister said.<\/p>\n India will assume G-20 Presidency from 1st December 2022 till November 30, 2023. The G-20 Presidency offers a unique opportunity for India to contribute to the global agenda on plowing matters of international importance.<\/p>\n Calling this a significant event, the Prime Minister said the Presidency of G-20 during the year of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a matter of pride for every Indian. He expressed delight over the growing interest and activities about the G-20 and related events.<\/p>\n “The world is going through the aftereffects of the disruptive COVID-19 pandemic. The symbol of G20 logo is the representation of hope. No matter how adverse the circumstances, the Lotus still blooms. The 7 petals on the Lotus represent the 7 continents of the globe and also the 7 notes of music.<\/p>\n G20 will bring the world together in harmony,” the Prime Minister said. Remarking that the G-20 logo is not just any logo, the Prime Minister said that it is a message, a feeling that runs in India\u2019s veins. “It is a resolve that has been omnipresent in our thoughts through \u2018Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” he said. He further added that the thought of universal brotherhood is being reflected via the G-20 logo.<\/p>\n The lotus in the logo symbolizes India’s ancient heritage, faith, and thought. The Philosophy of Adwait, the Prime Minister said, emphasizes the oneness of all creatures and this philosophy will be a medium of resolution of today\u2019s conflicts. “This logo and theme represent many key messages from India.<\/p>\n The message of Buddha for freedom from war, Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s solutions in the face of violence, through G-20, India is giving them a new height,” he said. The Prime Minister said that this summit is not merely a diplomatic meeting.<\/p>\n India takes it as a new responsibility and as the world’s trust in it. G20 is the premier forum for international economic cooperation representing around 85% of the global GDP, over 75% of the global trade, and about two-thirds of the world population. During the course of its G20 Presidency, India will be holding about 200 meetings in 32 different sectors in multiple locations across India.<\/p>\n The G20 presidency is from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023, giving India a unique window to get counted as a nation of international importance.<\/p>\n India\u2019s G20 logo features planet Earth with the lotus, India\u2019s national flower, with colours of India\u2019s national flag \u2013 saffron, white and green, and blue with the Earth reflecting India\u2019s pro-planet approach to life.\u00a0 It will be one of the greatest-profile international conferences to be hosted by India.<\/p>\n Using the symbol of the lotus for project India, when it is in fact, only the BJP party symbol is also detrimental to the peace and harmony of India.\u00a0 The theme of One World seems good, but there is a fear that the Oneness will be enforced by dictators.\u00a0 The Universe is patterned in diversity and eliminating it could actually bring fragmented disunity.\u00a0 How is this Oneness going to be achieved is not clear.\u00a0 The nationalist Hindutva<\/a> movement and attacks on minorities<\/a> and Dalits under his governance did not weave unity in India.\u00a0 Oneness can never happen on Earth without accepting diversity and heterogeneity.<\/p>\nTake Back From PM Modi’s Speech<\/h3>\n
