The government wants to give preference in reservations to those students where both parents have been killed by terrorists.<\/h2>\n

Reservations will go for terror victims in MBBS, BDS where the government has laid down the eligibility criteria for the students applying for the courses.\u00a0 The government has also decided to give preference to those students where parents have been killed by terrorists. And they will be followed by those whose sole bread earners were killed by terrorists.<\/p>\n

”Children whose both parents have been killed by terrorists will come under Priority 1, The Children of families whose sole bread earners have been killed by terrorists will be under Priority 2 and The Wards of victims with permanent disability and serious injury caused by terrorist operations will be under the Priority 3,” said the Order.<\/p>\n

As per the Government order, the Selection of the candidates would be made as on their performance in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test(NEET). And the last date for the submission of the application would be November 11, 2022.<\/p>\n

BJP Jammu Kashmir Spokesman Altaf Thakur<\/a> said, “It’s a welcome step and under the guidance of Narendra Modi we are committed to helping those families who are dear once have sacrificed their lives for the country, it’s a beginning and soon in other places those victims will get reservations.”<\/p>\n

Last year in August 2021, AIMIM chief Owaisi<\/a> hit out at reservations keeping out Dalit Muslims and Dalit Christians.\u00a0 The nature of that bill led Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen to express how it infringes on the rights of Article 15 and Article 16 which addresses equality of opportunity for all citizens in matters of employment under the State. No citizen shall, on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, descent, place of birth, or any of them, be ineligible for any office under the State.<\/p>\n
