Rohtak, Haryana:\u00a0 In a tragic incident, shocking the city, there was a big shootout in the Kushti arena of the city killing five and injuring\u00a0seven at a wrestling centre, Rohtak’s Mehar Singh Akhada in Rohtak, Haryana on Friday.<\/p>\n
In Mehar Singh Arena, near Dev Colony in Rohtak, an unidentified man fired at the wrestling area and killed five people, including a child and his mother. The attacker escaped from the scene. The wrestling center is close to a college.<\/p>\n
Those who succumbed to their injuries were Manoj Malik, a resident of Sargathala village in Sonepat, his wife Sakshi, female wrestler Pooja from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, coach Satish Kumar from Mandothi village, Rohtak, and Pradeep Malik, from village Mokhara. Three-year-old Sartaj, son of Amarjeet Singh and coach Manoj Kumar, a resident of Nindana, a coach at Dev Colony, were injured.\u00a0 Police sources say that among the injured is a three-year-old boy of one of the deceased.<\/p>\n
Police said the initial investigation indicates that the firing took place due to an old rivalry.<\/p>\n
Police have taken custody of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. Seven people suffered bullet injuries in the firing and the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals.<\/p>\n
It is said that there is a \u201claw and order situation in Khattar-Dushyant where criminals have been elevated so that the people of Haryana are forced to live under the shadow of “nakara” rule!\u201d<\/p>\n
