New Delhi:<\/strong> Delhi Police asked the farmers to give up violence and maintain peace and return to their destinations. The Delhi Police issued a statement on Tuesday saying that for today’s tractor rally, the Delhi Police worked with the farmers as per agreed terms and made necessary arrangements.<\/p>\n The Delhi Police showed great restraint till the end but the angry farmers refused to accept the terms and conditions and started their march ahead of time and the protesters resorted to violence and vandalism.<\/p>\n He said that in view of the alleged sabotage by the angry farmers, the Delhi Police took necessary steps with restraint to maintain law and order. The march allegedly caused serious damage to public property and injured many policemen. There has been an appeal to angry people to leave the violence and maintain peace and return to their established ways.<\/p>\n It is noteworthy that during the farmers’ rally, the farmers broke barricades at various places and entered Delhi and, meanwhile, there were clashes in several places including ITO, Maqbara Chowk, Nangloi in which some farmers and police personnel were injured.<\/p>\n During the tractor rally, a flag was waved at the Red Fort complex amidst clashes at Kisan Tomb Chowk, Transport Nagar, ITO, and Akshardham among other places. During the skirmish at ITO, a large number of farmers entered the Red Fort complex and waved their flag.<\/p>\n However, there are various rumors doing the round regarding clashes and Red Fort incidents. Farmers say that the damages are not caused by the farmers but by some “politically motivated” mischievous people.
