Assam government had earlier announced that government-aided madrasas would be converted into government schools and now a resolution in the assembly was passed that all madrasas be converted into schools.<\/h2>\n

Munger:<\/strong> The Assam Legislative Assembly has approved the proposal to close all government-aided madrasas from April 1. This resolution of the Legislative Assembly and the decision to close the Madrasas are “state terrorism” and it is a clear violation of Article 30 of the Fundamental Rights in the Constitution.<\/p>\n

Amir-e-Shariat Maulana Muhammad Wali Rahmani Sajjada Nasheen<\/em> of Khanqah Rahmani Munger expressed these views in detail at a press conference. He said that no assembly or parliament has the right to legislate against the provisions of the Fundamental Rights of the Constitution of India.<\/p>\n

The Assam government had earlier announced that government-aided madrasas would be converted into government schools and now the Assembly would approve the proposal to convert all madrasas into schools, maintain jobs and provide facilities for madrasa teachers.<\/p>\n

Government cannot touch madrasas as long as the Constitution of India is alive<\/h3>\n

Maulana Muhammad Wali Rahmani said that all the madrasas are within the scope of provisions of Article 32 of the Constitution, which guarantees the Fundamental Rights and their original position cannot be changed. Not only can the government touch madrasas which are not government aided, but also the government aided madrasas as long as the Constitution of India is in function.<\/p>\n

Maulana Rahmani says, “Land and houses of government-aided madrasas stand with the donations of common Muslims. The payment of salaries of teachers and staff has also been given away by the Muslim people for a long time. Construction of buildings is carried out by people. The basic nature of the madrasa cannot be changed with just partial payment – payments of salaries to teachers and staff and they do not go beyond Article 32 of the Constitution.<\/p>\n

Maulana Muhammad Wali Rahmani said that this is a kind of terrorism carried out by the Assam government terrorism and an example of ignoring the Constitution of India. “Efforts to deal with the situation have begun in court”, he added.<\/p>\n
