New Delhi:<\/strong> The government has invited farmers’ organizations protesting against agrarian reform laws for talks on 30 December.<\/p>\n In a letter sent to 40 farmer organizations Monday, Agriculture Secretary Sanjay Aggarwal said that the government is committed to resolving the issues with a clear intention and an open mind.<\/p>\n He said that the government is set to discuss three agrarian reform laws and procurement of crops at the minimum support price (MSP).<\/p>\n Earlier, the government had asked the farmers’ organizations to choose the time and place of the talks. Farmers’ organizations had proposed to negotiate with the government<\/a> on 29 December.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, 11 farmer organizations of the country met Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Monday and expressed their support and confidence in the new agrarian reform laws<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the letters submitted by the organizations, it is said that these agrarian reform laws are going to bring about a positive change in the direction of the farmers and the agriculture sector and the government should not take them back under any circumstances.<\/p>\n [Hams Live]<\/p>\n
