Probe investigation and security have been tightened outside his residence. A day after Imran Khan<\/a> was booked, security on the road leading to his residence has been tensed, reported ARY News on Monday.<\/p>\n A terror case was filed against the ousted leader on Sunday for threatening the judiciary, police and other state institutions at his Islamabad rally on Saturday. Tensions are heightened in the country, with the former leader’s supporters gathering outside his house vowing to “take over” if he is arrested, a BBC report said.<\/p>\n Since being ousted from power in April, Khan has been a vocal critic of the Shehbaz Sharif government and the country’s army. Police opened their probe into the 69-year-old cricketer-turned-politician after he charged authorities with torturing his close aide, who is himself being detained under sedition charges, the BBC report added.<\/p>\n In a public speech on Saturday, Khan condemned Islamabad’s police chief and a female judge for the detention and alleged mistreatment of his party colleague. Pakistan police on Sunday registered an FIR against Khan under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). The case was registered on the complaint of magistrate Ali Javed in Islamabad’s Margalla police station at 10 pm on August 20 under Section 7 of ATA.<\/p>\n The FIR stated the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman threatened additional sessions judge Zeba Chaudhry and police officers at a rally to \u201cterrorise\u201d the police and judiciary. His aim was to intimidate both from carrying out their legal duties, the FIR added.<\/p>\n The case against Imran Khan surfaced hours after Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Sunday said that the government was considering filing a case against Khan over his provocative speech.
