Coordination Committee<\/a> said in a statement released on Friday that the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy is Rs 1800 per quintal, while it is selling at Rs 900 a quintal. The government has allocated one lakh crores for the investment of companies in farming.<\/p>\nThe Committee said, ‘The Prime Minister should tell how the farmers’ land and crops will be saved after the new law. The committee has said that the Prime Minister spends his effort just to take on the opposition parties.’<\/p>\n
“Three new farming laws will end the possession of farmers’ land and farming, and promote foreign companies and big businessmen. The government has allocated one lakh crore rupees to encourage corporate investment in the agricultural superstructure, while the government should provide these facilities on its own or through cooperative sector,” statement added.<\/p>\n
Minimum Support Price (MSP)<\/h3>\n
AIKSCC has further said that the Prime Minister should be aware of the fact that where the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy is Rs 1870, farmers are forced to sell it at Rs 900.<\/p>\n
The Agriculture Minister’s assurance on the minimum support price (MSP) is proved wrong by the fact that the experts of NITI Aayog are saying that the government has a lot of food stocks, there is no place to buy nor the government purchases refusing to make law.<\/p>\n
On other claims such as timely payment, the law states that the crop will be taken by giving the receipt and payment after three days and also that the payment can be made after selling the crop further.<\/p>\n
The AIKSCC has appealed to the government to withdraw these three farm laws and electricity bill 2020 and not to campaign about it wrongly. The farmers are also determined to continue the agitation. Meanwhile, in Indus Tikri and Ghazipur, the crowd of farmers is increasing so is the participation in other places.<\/p>\n
