Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi<\/a> today announced that only 43 thousand applications have been received for Haj 2021. In view of this, the deadline has been extended to 10 January whereas, this time, there will be 10 departure centers in the country instead of 21.<\/p>\nAs many as 500 applications have been received by Muslim women without “Mehram” and will be approved without any draw. Naqvi further said that the fee was fixed on the basis of estimates of Haj 2021 expenses and has been reduced based on information received from Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n
Pilgrims traveling from Mumbai and Ahmedabad will have to pay around Rs 330,000. Approximately Rs 3.5 lakh will have to be paid from Bangalore, Lucknow, Delhi, and Hyderabad centers. Rs 360,000 from Cochin and Srinagar, Rs 370,000 from Kolkata, and a maximum of Rs 400,000 from Guwahati.<\/p>\n
‘One Nation One Fare’ not possible at present<\/h3>\n
Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, while answering a question said, “One Nation One Fare<\/a>” (one country, one fare) is not possible at the moment, but it is a good suggestion, which all airlines should follow. The current fare is for the Azizia category only, which is more or less the same.<\/p>\nHe said that the guidelines of the Global Protocol of the Covid epidemic will be religiously followed. The Saudi government has not yet issued any guidelines on Umrah, but the Saudi government had approved Umrah pilgrims between the ages of 18 and 50, and it can now be extended to 65 years.<\/p>\n
