New Delhi:<\/strong> To encourage employment in the organized sector, the Central Government has approved here on Wednesday the ‘Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme’ of Rs 22 thousand 810 crores, which will benefit the employees getting less than Rs 15000 monthly salary.<\/p>\n The proposal related to this was approved in the meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Medi here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n After the meeting, Minister\u00a0of State for\u00a0Labour and Employment<\/a> (Independent Charge) Santosh Kumar Gangwar told in a press conference that a total of 22 thousand 810 rupees would be spent on the self-reliant India package.<\/p>\n The project will run from 2020 to 2023. In the current financial year, Rs 1584 crore will be spent. Mr. Ganwar informed that about 58.5 lakh employees would get benefit from this scheme.<\/p>\n Mr. Gangwar said that the employees of the organized sector will be able to take advantage of this scheme during the Covid epidemic. The government will contribute 24 percent to the Employees Provident Fund to the entities covered under this scheme.<\/p>\n In response to a question, Mr. Gangwar has claimed that the number of employees in the organized sector in the country<\/a> has reached 10 seats, up from 6 in the year 2014.<\/p>\n [Hams Live]<\/p>\n
