Turbulent times in Kashmir, yesterday a teacher was shot dead; 15 security personnel were martyred,\u00a0 18 civilians were killed in the last 5 months.<\/h2>\n

Nothing is easing up after the Abrogation of Article 370.\u00a0 In fact, after this, the situation degenerated and the murders of locals and minorities, and migrants in Kashmir were eerily reminiscent of the 1990s<\/a> according to some Kashmir people.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, a teacher was shot dead, tragically.\u00a0 \u00a0She was identified as Rajni, wife of Raj Kumaar of Samba district.\u00a0 Eighteen civilians were killed in the last 5 months.<\/p>\n

The Kashmir police said that the terrorists fired upon a woman, a resident of Samba (Jammu division), who worked as a teacher at the High School Gopalpora area of Kulgam. \u201cThe area has been cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” they added.<\/p>\n

Shocked by the development, former chief minister Omar Abdullah said, \u201cVery sad. This is yet another targeted killing in a long list of recent attacks directed at unarmed civilians. Words of condemnation and condolence ring hollow as do the assurances of the government that they will not rest till the situation normalizes. May the deceased rest in peace.”<\/p>\n

The killing comes weeks after Rahul Bhat (35), a clerk under the special employment package for migrants in 2012-11, was shot dead by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists at his office in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir\u2019s Budgam district on May 12.<\/p>\n

Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi tweeted,\u00a0In Kashmir, 15 security personnel were martyred and 18 civilians were killed in the last 5 months. Yesterday also a teacher was murdered.<\/em><\/p>\n
