New Delhi:<\/strong> The barriers and restrictions on the movement of agitating farmers were lifted across Haryana, as they entered the national capital via Tikri border. Barriers were lifted after the farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh were granted permission to stage a peaceful protest at Nirankari Grounds in Delhi’s Burari.<\/p>\n The decision was taken after talks between the police officials and farmer leaders, who had gathered at the Singhu Border between Haryana and Delhi. A large number of farmers<\/a> had come from Punjab and Haryana under the ‘Chalo Dilli’ call given by the farmer organizations for November 26 and 27.<\/p>\n The agitation was to raise voice for their demands to take back the three new agriculture laws, which they called anti-farmer, especially highlighting their demand for the MSP. The move by the Delhi Police holding talks and granting permission to farmers for holding peaceful protests at the Nirankari grounds helped the movement of traffic along the highways.<\/p>\n The decision helped to clear of massive traffic jams, which the city witnessed since Thursday evening. There was a lot of push and pull that took place between the farmers, initially at Haryana and in the morning at the Delhi border. They were said to be denied entry in view of the Covid guidelines and for people\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n Haryana Police had to use water cannons to stop the farmers when they clashed with the barriers. Tear gas shells were also used at the Delhi-Haryana border to disperse them before the talks took place with the senior officials of Delhi Police.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the government has invited the farmers for talks on December 03. The government also appealed to them to stop the agitation, in view of the worst Covid situation. As per local sources, the barricading at the Haryana-Punjab Shambhu border<\/a> was also lifted, as the farmers were given entry into Delhi.<\/p>\n
