The 18-year-old nurse was allegedly gang-raped and murdered on the first day at her job at a private hospital in the Bangarmau area of Unnao district on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The body of the nurse was found hanging at New Jeevan Nursing Home in the Bangarmau area of the district on Saturday, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sashi Shekhar Singh told PTI on Sunday.<\/p>\n
According to her family, the hospital had just opened in April and the girl had joined the hospital on April 29 and had rented a room nearby.\u00a0 That morning, there was since there were no patients in the hospital, the nurse had returned to her room. Then at “around 10 in the night, she allegedly got a call from the hospital owner, who asked her to do the night shift,\u201d said police.<\/p>\n
The nurse\u2019s mother said she got a call from the hospital that her daughter had committed suicide. When she reached the site, it was evident that her daughter had been murdered, she said as there was a mask on her face and she was clutching a piece of cloth in her hand, additional superintendent of police Shashi Shekhar Singh said.<\/p>\n
Her body was seen hanging by a rope from the outer wall of the hospital at around 11 am on Saturday by some visitors apparently. The rope was tied to an iron bar protruding from a pillar on the roof of the building.\u00a0 It was apparent she could not hang herself from that height.<\/p>\n
The woman\u2019s family has lodged a police complaint, said Gajannath Shukla, officer-in-charge of Bangarmau police station. The victim\u2019s body has been sent for autopsy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are investigating the matter. The mother of the deceased has named four people in the FIR, including the owner of the hospital,\u201d Shukla said.<\/p>\n
Police Shashi Shekhar Singh said,\u00a0\u201cWe are trying to find out who put a mask on her face and also details about the cloth,\u201d Singh said. \u201cThe hospital has been sealed and we are waiting for the autopsy report.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI have named the hospital owner Anil Kumar and three staff members, including Noor Alam, Chand Alam, and one other person, in the FIR,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
