Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant on Friday said seven schools in the city have received a bomb threat through e-mail.<\/h2>\n

While the seven Bengaluru schools get a bomb threat via e-mail, police launch searches and the city is on high alert.<\/p>\n

“Four schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru have received a bomb threat through email, our local police are checking about it,” Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant said.<\/p>\n

The anonymous threat sent at 11:09 read, \u00a0“A very powerful bomb has been planted in your school. Attention, this is not a joke. Call the police immediately. Hundreds of lives may suffer, including yours. Do not delay. Everything is in your hands.”<\/p>\n

The schools include Opalan International School, Mahadevapura, Delhi Public School, Varthur, New Academy School, St Vincent Paul School, Hennur, and Indian Public School, Govindpura.<\/p>\n

“Based on the email, our teams are checking there at the spot…when more information comes, it will be shared with you (media),” the Commissioner said.<\/p>\n
