{"id":114093,"date":"2022-09-05T11:04:10","date_gmt":"2022-09-05T11:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hamslivenews.com\/?p=114093"},"modified":"2022-09-05T11:04:10","modified_gmt":"2022-09-05T11:04:10","slug":"cyrus-mistry-dies-due-to-overspeeding-car-error-of-judgement-no-seat-belt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hamslive.com\/news\/2022\/09\/cyrus-mistry-dies-due-to-overspeeding-car-error-of-judgement-no-seat-belt\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyrus Mistry dies due to overspeeding car, error of judgement, no seat belt"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Police official says over-speeding and an \u201cerror of judgement\u201d by Dr Anahita Pandole, was driving the car, caused the accident.<\/h2>\n<p>Cyrus Mistry, Indian-born Irish businessman e billionaire and former chairman of India&#8217;s biggest conglomerate Tata Group and Jahangir Binshah Pandole, son Dinshaw Pandole die in a road accident.\u00a0 A police official said that over-speeding and an \u201cerror of judgement\u201d by Dr Anahita Pandole, who was driving the car, caused the accident on the bridge on the Surya River at 2:30 pm on Sunday, while they were returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cyrus_Mistry\">Cyrus Mistry<\/a> and the Pandoles were coming back from Udvada, where the Parsis have their main &#8220;Fire Temple,&#8221; where they had gone to pray for Dinshaw Pandole, Darius and Jahangir&#8217;s father who had passed away on Monday, 29 August 2022.<\/p>\n<p>There were four people in the vehicle, of which two, including Mistry, died on the spot. The other deceased person has been identified as Jahangir Binshah Pandole.\u00a0\u00a0Cyrus Mistry was sitting in the rear seat, and the two people that survived were sitting in front with seat belts on.<\/p>\n<p>Those injured \u2014 identified as Anahita Pandole, a well-known gynaecologist at Breach Candy Hospital, (who was driving the car) and Darius Pandole, the managing director and CEO of JM Financial Private Equity and both have been shifted to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Anahita Pandole\u00a0 and her husband, Darius Pandole were brought by road to the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on the morning of 5 September, Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The couple, who survived the tragic accident that claimed the lives of former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry and his co-passenger Jahangir Pandole in Palghar, near Mumbai on Sunday, 4 September, is now stable and a team of 20 multi-disciplinary doctors is evaluating them, Dr Tarang Gianchandani, CEO, HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, said.<\/p>\n<p>Darius Pandole, who was sitting on the passenger side in the car, is the son of Dinshaw Pandole of the Duke\u2019s company that owned popular soft drink brands like Mangola, Lemonade, and Duke Soda. The company was acquired by PepsiCo India in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Darius is also the Managing Director and CEO of the Mumbai-based JM Financial Private Equity. He was earlier an independent director in the Tata Group firms and had resisted the removal of Cyrus Mistry as the Tata Sons Chairman.
