The unemployment rate among educated youth is even much worse: 46.3%<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ashok Swain (@ashoswai) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ashoswai\/status\/1566053939954552832?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 3, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>As the abrogation of Article 370 and the creation of two Union Territories from the erstwhile state of Jammu &amp; Kashmir completed three years on Friday, mainstream political leaders in Kashmir said they will continue to struggle for the restoration of J&amp;K\u2019s special status<\/p>\n<p>When three years ago, on August 5, Article 370 was revoked by the Parliament and the state was divided into two Union Territories \u2013 Jammu &amp; Kashmir and Ladakh, all mainstream leaders were put under house arrest.\u00a0 It came as a shock to the Kashmiri leaders who were promised this would never happen, not without their consent.<\/p>\n<p>The leaders are still fighing for the restoration of Artice 370.\u00a0 People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti held protest demonstration for restoration of Article 370 outside the party office in Srinagar on the third year of abrogation of the Article 370 by Indian Parliament.<\/p>\n<h3>Kashmiri Leaders What Articles 370 and 35A Restored<\/h3>\n<p>Addressing the workers, Mehbooba Mufti said that for people of Kashmir August 5, is a black day. \u201cOur special status, flag and our constitution was snatched from us in an undemocratic way. These rights were given to us by the Indian constitution,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Later in a series of tweets, PDP president, said that BJP designs have got unravelled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs BJPs malicious designs for J&amp;K have unravelled, the pattern of suppression &amp; fear is now knocking at the door in rest of the country too. Weaponising their pet agencies &amp; using terror laws to stifle dissent has become the norm,\u201d Mehbooba Mufti said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour silence &amp; complicity emboldened GOI to wreck havoc. Today they are trampling upon Indian democracy by subverting every pillar that supported it. BJP\u2019s so called integration of J&amp;K which never happened has cost us heavily,\u201d she said in another tweet.<\/p>\n<p>Mehbooba Mufti stated that J&amp;K has slipped on the development indices index. \u201cJ&amp;K has slipped on the development indices index. Unemployment &amp; inflation is at an all time high. The facade of normalcy is as real as \u2018Sabka saath sabka vikaas\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>National Conference, Vice President, Omar Abdullah said that they will continue their peaceful struggle. \u201cWe will continue our peaceful struggle using all legal &amp; constitutional means to challenge what was done to J&amp;K on 5th Aug 2019. The road ahead may be a long one, full of twists &amp; turns but it\u2019s not one @JKNC_will abandon,\u201d Omar tweeted. National Conference also held a function at its party office Nawai Subh in Srinagar.<\/p>\n<p>National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah, who presided the meeting said that August 5, 2019 marks breach of trust, decisions are not acceptable to the party. \u201cWe hope that SC will reverse the unilateral, undemocratic and unconstitutional decisions. Will continue to fight for our rights peacefully,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>CPI (M) general secretary and spokesman of the People\u2019s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), an amalgamation of mainstream parties demanding restoration of special status, Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami said that three years ago J&amp;K was robbed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn this day in 2019, the Central government upended the constitution and robbed Jammu &amp; Kashmir of what it hard achieved after a hard-fought battle by locking away thousands overnight. We reiterate our cast iron resolve to unitedly work for restoration of what was snatched from us,\u201d said Tarigami in a tweet.<\/p>\n<h3>What Happened After Abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A<\/h3>\n<p>Three years after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hamslive.com\/news\/2022\/08\/05\/why-is-august-5-marked-a-black-day-for-jk-after-article-370-revoked\/\">Abrogation<\/a> of Articles 370 and 35A, Kashmir was still reeling under shock with economic loss, tense situations, with over 700,000 Army troops and Kashmir is now the most militarized zone in the world but even so, few days, someone is shot dead and gun battles are fierce.\u00a0 Tourism is down in the doldrums<\/p>\n<p>International media has been banned from covering events in Kashmir while Amnesty International\u00a0 has been asked to leave India.<\/p>\n<p>In all this, suicides and depression triggered, jobs were lost while businesses plunged, and tourism crashed in Kashmir. Things are slowly dragging along a meandering pathway and it is very hard for Kashmir to come back to normal.
