On Saturday Anna Hazare wrote a \u201creminder\u201d letter to Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray saying he will launch an indefinite hunger strike against the state government’s decision to allow the sale of wine in supermarkets and walk-in shops.<\/p>\n
Hazare stated that he had sent the first letter to the CM opposing the wine policy on February 3 but received no response.<\/p>\n
“I am sending a reminder letter as no response was received from the state government. The state government recently decided to allow the sale of wine in supermarkets and grocery shops. The decision is unfortunate for the state and it will be dangerous for the coming generations.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo oppose this decision, I decided to go on indefinite hunger strike. I had sent a letter regarding the same to CM and Deputy CM (Ajit Pawar), but no response has been received,\u201d Hazare declared.<\/p>\n
The social activist also said that agitation will be launched in Maharashtra simultaneously against the wine sale decision.<\/p>\n
While he is set out on a mission, it was a big letdown when he vanished suddenly, and citizens express bitterly, Lokpal<\/a> became a “Jokepal” because Anna Hazare disappeared mysteriously after PM Modi won the 2014 elections.\u00a0 The anti-corruption bill has not stopped corruption and transparency is not a strong feature of the present governement.\u00a0 After the elections, the sacred halo of holiness hanging over Anna Hazare faded away and people felt cheated, almost as if he was used as an agent by the BJP to destroy the Congress and pave the way for a “fascist” government as Congress says, to take over.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
